No, the car is new to me, but it is not new. So how can I deactivate the transport mode?

Deactivating transport mode typically requires a diagnostic tool and specific software to reconfigure the vehicle's computer. I would recommend visiting a qualified workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I went to the shop. They did a software reconfiguration and configured the car. All working now, and it didn't cost me anything!

The symptoms you describe are consistent with transport mode being active. This mode restricts certain functions to preserve battery life during shipping. However, it should have been deactivated by the dealer before delivery. Was the car bought as new?
