Twizy Belt-Handover Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Twizy with 141,543 km has a malfunctioning belt-handover mechanism. The suspected cause is a defective belt bringer/handover, similar to an issue experienced by another vehicle owner, where the belt tensioner was the problem. The recommended solution is a workshop visit to address the belt tensioner issue, which was confirmed and repaired at a cost of 455€.

No belt squeal or drop in engine performance, just the belt-handover not working. Was that also the case with your Fiat?

Exactly the same. Started with just the belt handover failing and got steadily worse. I'd recommend a workshop visit before it gets any worse; could be expensive.

Thanks for confirming. I took your advice and visited the workshop. Turns out it was the belt tensioner, just as we suspected. The repair set me back 455€.

I had a similar issue with my old Fiat; the belt tensioner went bad. Does your Twizy's engine performance suffer, or do you hear a belt squeal?
