Twizy central locking failure
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Renault Twizy experienced a central locking failure, with the system unable to lock or unlock the doors and an error message displayed. The issue was suspected to be related to the car alarm or keyless entry system. A suggestion was made to check the cable and plug connection at the door lock mechanism, as a broken wire or corroded connector could be the cause. The problem was resolved by addressing a defective plug connection, confirming the initial suspicion.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'cable and plug connection', do you mean where the wires connect to the door lock mechanism itself? And the error is always there, it's like a persistent gremlin messing with the system.

Yes, exactly, at the door lock. Given the constant error, it's likely a broken wire or corroded connector. I ended up taking mine to a workshop; they diagnosed it quickly. You could try checking yourself, but be careful with the electrics. I think it will be around 95€ to fix.

Thanks a lot for the info! Sounds like a job for the pros then. I'll book it in for a checkup and mention the cable/connector issue. Hopefully, that's all it is. It was indeed a defective plug connection, just like you predicted. All fixed now!

I had a similar problem with my Twizy. Check the cable and plug connection of the door locks. It might be defective. Is the error constantly present or does it come and go?
