Twizy central locking failure

I'm having a nightmare with my 2017 Renault Twizy (electric engine). The central locking has completely stopped working! I can't lock or unlock the door, and the error memory is showing a fault. I checked the fuse box, but all fuses seem fine. Could this be related to the car alarm or keyless entry system? It's like trying to secure Fort Knox with a rubber band right now! Any ideas before I lose my mind?

I had a similar problem with my Twizy. Check the cable and plug connection of the door locks. It might be defective. Is the error constantly present or does it come and go?

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'cable and plug connection', do you mean where the wires connect to the door lock mechanism itself? And the error is always there, it's like a persistent gremlin messing with the system.

Yes, exactly, at the door lock. Given the constant error, it's likely a broken wire or corroded connector. I ended up taking mine to a workshop; they diagnosed it quickly. You could try checking yourself, but be careful with the electrics. I think it will be around 95€ to fix.

Thanks a lot for the info! Sounds like a job for the pros then. I'll book it in for a checkup and mention the cable/connector issue. Hopefully, that's all it is. It was indeed a defective plug connection, just like you predicted. All fixed now!
