The cruise control light doesn't come on. I haven't seen any problems with the throttle. Can you explain the clock spring and how it relates to the cruise control?

The clock spring lets the steering wheel turn while keeping electrical connections for things like the airbag, horn, and cruise control switches. If it's broken, it can cut the signal to the cruise control module. But with the error code and no light, it could be a bad cable or plug. I'd suggest a workshop visit.

Thanks for the explanation. A Renault technician found a defective cable connection, like you said. The repair was 95€.

That's strange. Does the dashboard light up when you try to use cruise control? Any issues with the throttle or other steering wheel controls? Sometimes a bad clock spring messes with multiple systems.
