Twizy Electronic Parking Brake Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Renault Twizy owner is experiencing a failure with the electronic parking brake at 85,756 km, with the handbrake non-functional and related errors stored in the error memory. The warning light is also illuminated. Initial diagnostics suggest a defective electric motor in the brake calliper. Another owner with similar symptoms confirmed that the issue was indeed the motor in the parking brake calliper, suggesting that repair at a workshop may be necessary.

Thanks for the quick reply! The brake switch seems fine on initial inspection, but I'll take a closer look. What exactly were your symptoms and what was the final diagnosis?

Yeah, same symptoms. Warning light, no handbrake. I messed around with some brake diagnostics but ended up at the shop. They confirmed it was the motor in the parking brake calliper. Good luck!

Understood, thanks for sharing your experience! Looks like I'm heading down the same road. Preliminary estimate from the workshop is 505€, which seems in line with the likely cause. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen on my Twizy. Is the brake switch working properly? It could be something simpler than the motor.
