Twizy High Voltage Error

I'm experiencing a high-voltage system error with my 2013 Renault Twizy (electric engine). The error is stored, the engine occasionally shuts off, and engine power is reduced. I've checked for cable damage but found none. Could a heavily discharged or defective battery be the cause?

I had similar symptoms with my Twizy. Check for battery drain and electrical wiring issues. A faulty voltage sensor could also trigger the high-voltage error. Have you checked the 12V auxiliary battery? It can cause havoc if it's failing, even if the main traction battery seems fine.

Thanks. I will inspect the 12V auxiliary battery. Could you elaborate on how the auxiliary battery might interact with the high-voltage system and produce these symptoms, like the engine shutting off?

The 12V system powers critical components that the high-voltage system relies on for control and monitoring. If the 12V supply is unstable or drops too low, it can cause the inverter or BMS to misbehave and shut down the motor as a safety measure. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting that, I'd recommend visiting a workshop; a diagnostic should pinpoint the exact cause.

I appreciate the advice. I took the Twizy to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective cell in the main battery pack causing an imbalance. The repair cost was 290€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
