Twizy reduced power check engine light

I'm having trouble with my 2023 Renault Twizy (electric engine). It's got 141557 km on the clock and recently started showing some concerning symptoms. I'm experiencing a significant reduction in power, and the check engine light has illuminated. I suspect a defective throttle valve. Any thoughts?

Hey there, I had a similar issue with my Twizy a while back. The check engine light and reduced power are dead giveaways. Does it feel like it's stuck in limp mode, and is there a delay in response when you press the accelerator? It could be the accelerator pedal module.

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, it definitely feels like it's in limp mode, and there's a noticeable delay when I press the accelerator pedal. Could it really be the accelerator pedal module, and is it difficult to replace?

Yup, sounds exactly like what I went through. I initially thought it was the throttle body itself, but it turned out to be the electronics inside the accelerator pedal module. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop unless you're really comfortable with electrics; messing with the throttle sensor can be tricky. In my case, the cost was around 265€, and the problem was gone after the module replacement.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! It's a great help. I will take it to a local mechanic and have them check the accelerator pedal module. I'll post here if that fixes it!
