Ulysee Whistling Noise and Power Loss

I've got a 2005 Fiat Ulysee diesel with 206491 km. Recently, the check engine light pops up, and the engine feels sluggish. I'm experiencing reduced power, poor response, and a whistling noise, especially when accelerating. There's also a loud hissing sound at times. Oddly, sometimes it even stalls at idle, and my fuel consumption seems higher. Could this be a boost pressure actuator fault? Anyone experienced similar?

Sounds familiar. I've had something similar with my Ulysee. Is the whistling noise constant, or only under load? Have you checked for any obvious boost leaks?

Yes, it's possible. The electrical bypass valve could be the culprit. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop to confirm. They can properly diagnose the actuator and pressure sensor.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the electrical bypass valve. Repair cost me 250€. Runs like new now!
