Hey, thanks for your answer, that sounds logical. There's probably no getting around going to a workshop. Do you remember how much it cost you to replace the control unit? And has anything else come up since the repair that might have something to do with the problem? Thank you!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! So, replacing the control unit cost me a whopping €1000. Not exactly a bargain, but afterwards the car ran like a charm again, so it was worth it in the end. As for the faulty door contact signal, I also had that fixed when I was at the garage. Since then, the thing has been in tip-top order again. No other problems so far, so I'd say it could help you too. It's really annoying, but don't let it get you down. Visits to the workshop are just part of it!

Hey, thanks a million for the detailed answer! 1000 € sounds pretty hefty, but if the car runs properly again afterwards, it's probably worth it. Glad to hear that your door contact could also be fixed. Yes, you're right, garage visits are annoying, but unfortunately unavoidable. I'll probably have to make an appointment and hopefully my garage will have the same solution. Thanks again for your help!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Renault Megane 2017. My control unit was defective. The drive was no longer controllable and the rocking was getting worse, somehow it felt like the car was resisting driving straight ahead. At first I also thought it was the doors, but the mechanic in the workshop then determined that the control unit was the problem. That was pretty serious, because you simply can't drive a car like that safely without a functioning control unit. The guys at the garage then replaced the old control unit and it's been driving like new ever since. So that's definitely something you should have checked. Good luck with that!
