Unresponsive Navigation and Audio Systems in 2022 Lexus GX: Seeking Solutions
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Lexus GX owner is experiencing unresponsive navigation and audio systems and suspects the issue might be related to the speakerphone microphone. Another individual shared a similar experience with a different Lexus model, where the problem was resolved by performing a system reset and software update, rather than addressing the microphone. The suggested solution is to consult a mechanic about the possibility of a software glitch and consider a system reset and update.

Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience, gave me a bit of a relief actually. I've been dwelling over this for quite a while now. Interesting to hear that it was a software issue, I think I've overlooked that possibility. Out of curiosity though, how much did the reset and update damage your wallet? If any additional issues showed up afterwards, I'd like to hear about those too. It's better to be prepared and brace myself for any upcoming drama with my ride, you know what I mean? Thanks again!

Hey! No worries at all, glad I could help a bit. So, about the costs, it indeed did leave a bit of a dent in my pocket. I had to cough up around 815 Euro to get the Infotainment system back on track. Steep, I know, but couldn't do much about it. A perfectly working Navigation and Audio system are worth it, ain't they? As for any additional issues, just a minor one - the Speakerphone microphone was a tad faulty. It got fixed when I saw the mechanic, thankfully. It's been smooth sailing since. So no real drama afterwards, at least not on the tech front. Who knows what car gremlins might show up next, right? Keep us posted on your situation! Fingers crossed it's a quick fix for you.

Wow, 815 Euro? That's a bit of a shocker but well, better that than a car without an audio and navigation system. I appreciate your honesty, gives me an idea of what I could be walking into. And yes, those gremlins always keep us on our toes, don't they? I'll have a word with my mechanic soon about the possibility of a software glitch. Keep you all posted of course. Thanks again for your input, it has been really helpful. Cheers!

Hey, sounds like a typical Infotainment system glitch! Had the same trouble with my 2019 Lexus RX just last year. My audio and navigation got all wonky too, and I thought it might be the speakerphone mic same as you. But as it turned out, it wasn't really the mic at all! Problem was with the system's software actually. My garage guy did a full system reset, then an update, and bam! Everything was back in shape. Bit of a problem but not too serious. So you might want to check that out? Give your guy a call and mention the software angle. Hope this helps! Good luck.
