Unusual engine vibrations in Audi A6 Diesel model year 2017 - experience and solutions wanted
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The issue revolves around unusual engine vibrations in a 2017 Audi A6 Diesel. The initial suspicion is a problem with the vacuum-controlled engine mount. A similar experience shared suggests a faulty cable/connector on the engine mount as the potential cause. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic to confirm and fix the issue, as early intervention could prevent further damage.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I haven't done that much yet, to be honest. I've booted up the car and had a cursory look inside, but I don't have any fault codes. Nothing lights up or anything. When driving, you can just feel this "out-of-round running", especially when stationary. It's really annoying. The car has already done 162538 km and the last inspection was about 4 months ago. Nothing was conspicuous there either. Your tip about the cable/plug on the engine mount could be a real possibility. It wouldn't shock me, given the mileage. I'll have it checked. Could be a cheaper repair.

Hey, no problem! That sounds a lot like what I've experienced. With the mileage and after a recent inspection, it's possible it could be the cable/connector from the engine mount. My creeping vibration got worse, especially when stationary, just as you describe. I really advise you to get this checked out. Just remember, the sooner you tackle it and fix it, the less chance of more damage being done. And yes, the repair wasn't really expensive in my case, so maybe you'll be lucky. Keep us posted on what the mechanic says! Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the words of encouragement and the advice! I really hope it's just this cable/plug and nothing worse. I will get this checked out as soon as possible and also hope for a favorable repair order invoice. I will certainly keep you posted on the progress and final outcome once the car has been inspected. Thanks again, this really helps!

Hello Teambeans23, The stored error message indicates that either the solenoid valve wiring to the engine mount is defective or the engine mount itself is defective. It may be necessary to have a professional mechanic inspect your vehicle. Please keep us updated on your progress and let us know if you have any further questions.

Hello, My car Audi A4 has some electronic problems because the alternator is charging and at some point it stops charging and all the lights go on and the car has no more power and the lights turn off. Sometimes I just have to stop and wait for the alternator to recharge somehow. After jump start the car starts normally and alternator shows 10 volts after a while again between 13.5-14 volts.

Hello Yu1nusemre, It sounds like your alternator might be failing. The alternator should consistently produce around 13.5-14.5 volts to keep the battery charged and power the electrical system. If it's dropping to 10 volts, that's a clear sign of a problem. I recommend having your alternator tested at a local auto parts store or by a professional mechanic. If it's faulty, it will need to be replaced. Please keep us updated on your progress and let us know if you have any further questions.

Hey, I once had a similar problem with my Audi A4 (built in 2015). Despite my limited car knowledge, I was able to snoop around and also suspected that it could be the engine mount. So I went to the garage and sure enough, they found a faulty cable/connector on the engine mount. The repair cost me 165 euros and then the problem was solved. To be able to help you in more detail, it would be helpful if you could share a little more information about your car. For example, what have you done to fix the problem? Do you have any error codes or other symptoms?
