UrbanCruiser diesel engine issue

I have a perplexing issue concerning my 2014 Toyota UrbanCruiser, diesel engine. I've observed higher fuel consumption, a reduction in engine power, and the check engine light. The vehicle has approximately 111860 km on the odometer. I've attempted some rudimentary troubleshooting, but my diagnostic skills are limited. Could this be related to cylinder pressure fluctuation, and if so, what might be the underlying cause?

Cylinder pressure issues on the UrbanCruiser diesel are nasty. Could be a bunch of things: injectors, camshaft, even piston rings. Has the engine been making any weird noises? When did you last check your intake manifold?

Regarding unusual noises, I haven't noticed anything overtly alarming, perhaps a slight increase in engine clatter. As for the intake manifold, I have not inspected it recently. Could a faulty intake manifold really contribute to cylinder pressure fluctuations?

Yeah, vacuum leaks will throw everything off, and that check engine light is screaming consequential error. Honestly, it’s probably best to get it on a diagnostic machine. Could be fuel injector, could be crankshaft, could be anything. Don't keep driving it!

I appreciate the advice, and I concur that a professional diagnosis is warranted. I shall schedule an appointment with my trusted mechanic. Interestingly, it turned out to be a faulty sensor causing a cascade of errors. The repair was covered under warranty and cost 0€. Thank you again for your assistance; I am most grateful.
