Thanks. Regarding the wiring harness, what specific areas should I check for faults? Were there any particular connectors or sections prone to degradation on your Renault?

Well, frankly I didn't go that deep into it myself. I poked around a bit, but in the end, I just took it to a workshop. From what I remember, they mentioned a faulty sensor. So, best to take it to the shop, the error memory should tell them what it is.

I appreciate the advice. Based on the error code and your experience, I took it to a workshop. After inspection, it was a defective fuel level sensor. The replacement cost was 52€.

Ah, the dreaded sensor gremlins! I had a similar issue with my old Renault – though not exactly the same car. The fuel gauge was all over the place, and the engine ran rough. Did you check the wiring harness to the fuel tank? Sometimes a loose connection can cause havoc with the readings.
