UrbanCruiser Jerking Acceleration and Power Loss

My 2010 Toyota UrbanCruiser diesel is jerking when accelerating, the check engine light is on, and power is down. OBD2 scanner shows an error. It sometimes stalls when idling, runs rough, and there's a strong exhaust smell. Could this be an intake manifold leak?

Sounds rough! I had similar symptoms with my old Saab – also diesel. Jerky acceleration, engine light, loss of power. Turned out to be a cracked intake manifold causing a vacuum leak. Is it hissing at all near the manifold?

No hissing, but where exactly on the manifold was the crack on your Saab? And what did it cost to fix?

Mine was cracked right near where the manifold sensor attaches. Cost a fortune on my old Saab. I would get it checked properly at a workshop. Could be dangerous if it gets worse!

Thanks! I took it to a local workshop. It was the intake manifold, leaking. Cost 1180€ to fix. Runs like new now!
