UrbanCruiser Rear Ventilation Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Toyota UrbanCruiser with a diesel engine is experiencing issues with the rear ventilation flap, causing climate control errors and ineffective air conditioning in the back. The suspected cause is a faulty cable or plug connection. After a workshop visit, it was confirmed that the flap actuator cable was defective, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Yeah, there's an error stored in the memory, but it's vague. Did your Astra do the same? Did you manage to sort it yourself or did you have to bite the bullet and take it somewhere?

Mine was similar, vague error. Honestly, I fiddled for hours and got nowhere. Ended up taking it to a garage. They diagnosed it pretty quick. Best bet is to get it checked out properly. Save yourself the frustration!

Cheers for the advice! Workshop visit confirmed the flap actuator cable was indeed defective. 95€ later and it's all sorted! Back to icy cool air for the kids in the back.

Ugh, sounds familiar! Had almost the exact same thing happen in my old Vauxhall Astra, although it was the front vents playing up. Total nightmare. Was it throwing up any specific error codes?
