UrbanCruiser Reduced Engine Power
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Toyota UrbanCruiser is experiencing reduced engine power and a check engine light, possibly due to a defective throttle valve. A suggestion was made to check the throttle sensor, as it could affect airflow and cause these issues. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a fault in the accelerator pedal module electronics, which was repaired at a cost of 265€.

Throttle sensor...hmm. Where exactly is that located, and could that really cause both the power loss and the light?

It's usually near the air intake. And yeah, a faulty sensor can mess with the air flow, triggering the light and limiting power. Honestly, though, sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order.

Reduced power and check engine light? Sounds nasty. Did you check the throttle sensor? Could be causing the issue. Is your engine idling rough too?
