UrbanCruiser Reduced Engine Power

My 2011 Toyota UrbanCruiser (gasoline) is acting up. I've noticed reduced engine power, and the check engine light is on. Mileage is 78254 km. Could the throttle valve be defective?

Summary of the thread

A 2011 Toyota UrbanCruiser is experiencing reduced engine power and a check engine light, possibly due to a defective throttle valve. A suggestion was made to check the throttle sensor, as it could affect airflow and cause these issues. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a fault in the accelerator pedal module electronics, which was repaired at a cost of 265€.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Reduced power and check engine light? Sounds nasty. Did you check the throttle sensor? Could be causing the issue. Is your engine idling rough too?

Throttle sensor...hmm. Where exactly is that located, and could that really cause both the power loss and the light?

It's usually near the air intake. And yeah, a faulty sensor can mess with the air flow, triggering the light and limiting power. Honestly, though, sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order.

Thanks for the help. Workshop confirmed it was the accelerator pedal module electronics. Cost 265€ to repair.
