Urvan charge air temperature sensor error

Alright, I'm at my wit's end! My 2000 Nissan Urvan with a gasoline engine is throwing a charge air temperature sensor error. The check engine light's on, power's reduced, and there's this crazy whistling and loud hissing when I accelerate. Error memory's full of it. Suspect a dodgy cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. Had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, believe it or not. Reduced power and a strange hissing. Was driving me nuts! Was your fuel consumption also high?

Fuel consumption? Actually, yeah, seems like I'm filling up more often. How did you solve the problem with your Astra? Was it really the airflow sensor, temperature sensor, or whatever sensor?

Turns out, it was a corroded connector to the sensor. I tried cleaning it, but no luck. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They replaced the connector, and that fixed it. Cost a pretty penny, though. Might be worth checking the connections before you spend too much.

Thanks a lot! It was indeed the connector and some broken cables. The mechanic fixed everything for 95€. You were right, I should have visited the workshop sooner!
