Urvan damping adjustment faulty

Alright, I'm losing my mind here. My 2010 Nissan Urvan (gasoline engine) is giving me grief. The damping adjustment is faulty, and it's throwing an error code and lighting up the speedometer like a Christmas tree. The ride is so bumpy, I feel like I'm driving on cobblestones even on smooth roads. I suspect it might be a dodgy cable or plug messing with the damping control. Anyone else had this happen?

I understand you're experiencing a bumpy ride and have a damping adjustment fault with your Nissan Urvan. The symptoms you describe, including the error code and warning light, certainly point towards an issue within the suspension system. Could you provide more details about the specific error code you are receiving?

Thanks for the quick reply. The error code is C1143, which my scanner says is related to the right front shock absorber damping control circuit. Any ideas what I should check specifically related to that error?

Error code C1143 indeed indicates a problem with the right front shock absorber's damping control. Given that the error is specific to one side and you suspect a wiring issue, focusing on the cable and plug connection for that shock absorber is logical. However, considering the potential complexity and the error persisting, I would advise having a workshop do a thorough check.

Thanks, that's helpful advice. I was hoping to fix it myself but you're right, it might be best to leave this one to the pros. The workshop confirmed it was a faulty connection and replaced the wiring harness. Cost me 95€ but the ride is smooth again!
