Urvan power window failure

Experiencing electrical issues with my 2012 Nissan Urvan diesel. The power windows have stopped responding. I've checked the fuses, and they're fine. I pulled the codes and found an error stored related to the window regulator circuit. My initial thought is a defective power window switch. Has anyone encountered something similar with their Urvan?

That's a weird one! You've already checked the fuses and codes. Did you try swapping out the relay for the power windows? Sometimes those go bad and cause intermittent issues before failing completely. Or maybe the motor itself is shot? Multimeter time!

Good shout on the relay! Where is the relay usually located in the Urvan's electrical system? Also, is there a common way to diagnose if it's the motor which failed?

Relays can be sneaky. On the Urvan, it should be in the fuse box under the dash, but check your manual to be sure, there might be a diagram. Regarding the motor, you could apply direct power to it carefully to see if it spins, or probe the wiring harness at the motor with your multimeter to see if it even gets power when you hit the switch. Honestly, at this point, just taking it to a trusted shop may be the fastest way.

Thanks for the tips! Took it to a local workshop. They confirmed it was indeed the power window switch causing the problem. Total repair cost, including parts and labour, came to around 200€ Appreciate the suggestions!
