UX ABS Fault

I'm having a terrible time with my 2023 Lexus UX electric. The ABS lamp lights up constantly, and the ABS system seems completely disabled. A diagnostic scan reveals an error related to the lateral acceleration sensor, which I think means a defective control unit. Has anyone experienced this? Vehicle stability is compromised, it's unsafe! I am getting error messages stored too.

Hey! I had something similar happen with my UX (not sure of the year). It sounds like the same issue, the stability control went bonkers. Did a hard reset help at all? Or did it come back right away? It's so annoying to deal with this.

Thanks for the reply! No, the hard reset didn't do anything at all. The ABS light and error message reappear immediately upon starting the car. What exactly was the problem with yours? Was it really the lateral acceleration sensor?

Yep, pretty sure it was the same sensor. I remember something about 'yaw rate' being mentioned. Honestly, I tried a few things, but ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was a faulty control unit and replaced it. Check your wheel alignment too, just in case, but it does sound like the sensor is the problem.

Thanks so much for confirming! I suspected it was the sensor, and your experience helps a lot. I'll schedule an appointment to get it replaced, I'm expecting to be charged about 1000€ for the pleasure. At least now I know what's wrong, I'll let you know as soon as it's fixed!
