Thanks for the info! So, with your Volvo, was it just a matter of cleaning the connector, or did you have to replace the wiring or the sensor itself?

In my case, cleaning the connector didn't solve the problem, and the wiring seemed fine. Ultimately, the sensor needed replacing. Considering all the symptoms you're experiencing, especially with the mirror heating also being affected, I'd recommend getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop. It's possible there's a short somewhere that's affecting multiple systems.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right - the sensor needed replacing. Total cost was 95€ Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Volvo XC60. Same symptoms – AC not working, weird temperature readings. The root cause was a faulty connection to the ambient temperature sensor. Have you checked the wiring and the connector itself for any signs of corrosion or damage?
