V Klasse Diesel Brake Fluid Loss

Good shout on the leaks I had a quick look and didn't spot anything obvious The loss is gradual not a sudden whoosh If it is internal leakage in the master cylinder what are the telltale signs besides the fluid level dropping and the pedal feel Is there a way to confirm that before condemning it I'm trying to avoid unnecessary component swaps

Honestly I didn't dive too deep into diagnostics myself The spongy pedal and constant need to top up the brake fluid were enough for me I took it to a garage and they diagnosed a faulty master cylinder pretty quickly They pressure tested the system I think and that confirmed it The best bet is to get it checked by someone who knows their stuff It could be brakes it could be master cylinder but safety first

You were spot on I took the V to my local garage It turns out the rear pads were completely shot and one of the calipers was weeping slightly New pads fluid replacement and caliper overhaul came to 480€ It's all sorted and the pedal feels solid again Thanks for the advice

Whoa sounds familiar I had a similar thing happen with my old Renault Scenic Brake fluid kept disappearing and the pedal feel was awful like stepping on a sponge I topped it up a few times but the warning light always came back I'm no expert but have you checked for any visible leaks around the calipers or brake lines It could be a simple fix if it's just a loose connection somewhere
