V Klasse engine issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Mercedes V Klasse with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, reduced power, and smoke during acceleration. The problem is suspected to be related to the crankcase ventilation valve. A similar issue was resolved by inspecting and maintaining the ventilation system, specifically checking hoses for cracks or blockages. Ultimately, a professional inspection confirmed the crankcase ventilation valve malfunction, and after repair, the vehicle returned to normal operation.

Maintenance on the ventilation system? To be honest, I haven't specifically touched it. What kind of maintenance are we talking about, and where exactly should I be looking for these hoses?

I've made the same mistake. By maintenance, I meant visual inspection and cleaning. The hoses are usually located around the engine block, connecting to the intake manifold. But with those symptoms, particularly the smoke, I would not delay a proper inspection at a trusted workshop.

Appreciate the input. Took it to the shop, and you were right. Crankcase ventilation valve malfunction. Repair set me back 360€ but it's running smoothly again.

I had a similar problem with my V Klasse. The crankcase ventilation can indeed cause those symptoms. When was the last time you did any maintenance on the ventilation system? I would suggest checking all the hoses connected to the valve for cracks or blockages.
