V40 Fuel Pressure Sensor Issue

I own a 2001 Volvo V40 with a gasoline engine. Recently, the check engine light came on. The engine runs rough, and stalls sometimes at idle. I also noticed jerking when accelerating. I suspect a defective fuel pressure sensor, perhaps a cable or plug issue. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had similar symptoms with my V40. Check engine light was on, rough running, and some hesitation. It could be the fuel system. Did you notice a drop in fuel economy too?

I took it to a workshop. The mechanic told me it was the fuel pressure sensor. I would suggest having a professional take a look at your car.

Thank you for the advice. It was indeed the fuel pressure sensor. The cable was defective. Repair cost was 95€. The car works normally again.
