V40 Fuel Pump Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 V40 gasoline vehicle is experiencing fuel delivery problems, including starting issues, stalling, rough running, and excessive fuel consumption, with a check engine light indicating a fuel pump circuit issue. The problem could potentially be caused by a bad cable or plug. After consulting with others and taking the car to a workshop, the issue was identified as a corroded connector, which was fixed for 95€.

Thanks. The code was pretty generic, just saying something's up with the fuel pump circuit. Did you check the cable or plug?

I poked around a bit, but honestly, I'm not that mechanically inclined. It could be the connection. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. Best money I've spent, saved me from making things worse.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to a shop, and it was a corroded connector. Cost me 95€ to fix. Thanks again!

Hmm, sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my V40. Was it throwing any specific codes, or just a general fuel pump error?
