V40 smartphone connection restriction
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Volvo V40 owner experienced smartphone connection restrictions and suspected it might be related to the ignition system. Despite attempts to unpair and re-pair the phone, the issue persisted, suggesting a deeper software problem. A workshop visit revealed it was an incorrect pairing issue, which was resolved for a fee.

Yes, I've tried unpairing and re-pairing multiple times, but no luck. Could it be a deeper software issue, or maybe something with the drivetrain?

Ah, if the unpairing didn't work, it does sound like something more than just a simple connection glitch. In my case with the Megane, the problem kept re-occuring. I would suggest that you get it checked at the workshop. They might have a diagnostic tool that can pinpoint the error.

Thanks! It turned out to be an incorrect pairing issue, as suspected. The workshop sorted it out for 45€. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. Bluetooth connection issues can be tricky. Have you tried unpairing your phone from the car's system and then re-pairing it? Sometimes that fixes it.
