V40 Sun Blind Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 V40 diesel has a sun blind that no longer retracts or extends, gets stuck, and displays an error. The issue is suspected to be with the motor. A similar case was resolved by replacing the entire sun blind unit at a workshop, which is recommended as the best solution.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

No unusual noises before it failed, it just stopped abruptly. What did you do to fix it?

It was the motor. Not easily repairable, so I had the entire sun blind unit replaced at a workshop. Wasn't cheap, but fixed it. With your symptoms and the error code, a workshop is probably best.

Thanks, I'll book a workshop appointment. Estimate is around 330€.

I had a similar problem with my V40. The sun blind acted exactly as you described. Did you notice any unusual noises before it completely failed? It might help pinpoint if it's indeed the motor.
