V40 Tire Pressure Warning and Steering Issue

I have a 2014 Volvo V40 with a gasoline engine and 201533 km on the clock. Recently, the tire pressure low warning light has been coming on intermittently. I've checked the tire pressure with a gauge, and they seem fine, but the ABS lamp lights up, the steering wheel vibrates, and it feels like I need more effort to steer, as if the power steering is failing. I suspect it is a tire monitoring issue. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my V40. The symptoms you describe are spot on. Did you check for tire pressure loss?

Yes, I did check the tire pressure. It seems okay. How did you resolve your issue? Any idea what the likely cause was?

In my case, it turned out to be a defective valve in one of the tires. It was a slow leak that the TPMS was picking up. I ended up having to replace it at a workshop. Get it checked out; these things can be tricky to pinpoint.

Thanks for the tip! I'll get it checked out at a workshop. Sounds like the most likely cause. It cost me 280€.
