V40 Tire Pressure Warning and Steering Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Volvo V40 owner is experiencing intermittent tire pressure warnings, ABS light activation, steering wheel vibrations, and increased steering effort, suggesting a potential power steering issue. Despite checking tire pressure, the problem persists. A similar case was resolved by replacing a defective tire valve causing a slow leak, indicating a possible tire monitoring system issue. The owner plans to visit a workshop for further diagnosis and resolution.

Yes, I did check the tire pressure. It seems okay. How did you resolve your issue? Any idea what the likely cause was?

In my case, it turned out to be a defective valve in one of the tires. It was a slow leak that the TPMS was picking up. I ended up having to replace it at a workshop. Get it checked out; these things can be tricky to pinpoint.

Thanks for the tip! I'll get it checked out at a workshop. Sounds like the most likely cause. It cost me 280€.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my V40. The symptoms you describe are spot on. Did you check for tire pressure loss?
