An intriguing parallel. Was the frayed wire obvious, or did you need a multimeter? And was the error consistent, or only under specific conditions, like bad weather?

The fraying wasn't obvious. A multimeter helped confirm the intermittent connection. It wasn't weather-dependent, but bumps seemed to trigger it more. After a week, I gave up and let the workshop handle it. Best 90€ I ever spent. Maybe you should do the same?

Your insights are invaluable. I'll concede and take it to a technician. The estimated repair is about 95€, a small price for peace of mind. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and saving me further frustration.

Sounds frustrating! My old Peugeot 308 had similar issues – blinker problems, dashboard warnings. Did you check the bulb socket for corrosion? For me, it was a slightly frayed wire causing an intermittent connection. Have you wiggled the wires near the connector to see if the error comes up?
