V50 Air Suspension Lean
Summary of the thread
The 2006 Volvo V50 is experiencing air suspension issues, including failure to lift, noticeable leaning, and error messages. A faulty air suspension bellows valve is suspected as a potential cause, leading to a bumpy ride. It is suggested to check for hissing sounds and inspect the shock absorber, as these could indicate a leaky air spring. A workshop visit is recommended for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Thanks. I haven't noticed hissing or checked the shock absorber yet. Can you explain more about the air spring? Could that cause the speedometer error?

The air spring is part of the air suspension bellows. A defective valve controlling airflow can cause incorrect ride height, leaning, and a bumpy ride. My A6 had a similar dash error. Without hissing, the valve is likely defective. Get it checked at a workshop. My repair cost 590€.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. A workshop visit is needed. I'll post the diagnosis when I have it.

I had a similar issue with my old Audi A6. It was leaning, and the ride height was off. Did you notice any hissing sounds? Mine turned out to be a leaky air spring. Have you checked the shock absorber?
