V50 Airbag Warning Light
Summary of the thread
The airbag warning light in a 2011 Volvo V50 diesel was illuminated, with diagnostics indicating a potential cable or plug issue within the airbag system. A similar issue was noted by another individual, who suggested checking the connectors under the seats, as they can become loose or corroded. The problem was ultimately resolved by replacing a defective cable to the airbag sensor, costing 95€.

Thank you for your suggestion. You're referring to the connectors for the seat airbags, correct? Could you provide more detail on how you troubleshooted this?

Yeah, those are the ones! Honestly, I wasn't brave enough to do much myself. I just wiggled them a bit, and the light went off for a while, but it came back. In the end, I took it to a workshop.

I appreciate the confirmation. The issue was indeed a defective connection. The cable to the airbag sensor required replacement. The repair cost 95€ Thank you.

Hey, I had something similar happen in my V50. The SRS light kept coming on. It was super annoying. Did you check under the seats? I read somewhere that the connectors there can get loose or corroded.
