V50 Coolant Loss

I own a 2011 Volvo V50 with a gasoline engine. I've noticed the coolant level is consistently low. The check engine light illuminates, and an error is stored in the error memory. Current mileage is 87727 km. Any insights?

I had a similar issue with my V50. Is there any visible coolant leaking around the engine bay, like near the coolant reservoir, radiator cap or water pump? Check for any white, crusty residue. It's like when a pipe bursts in your house - water (or coolant) goes everywhere.

I inspected the engine bay, but I don't see any visible coolant leaks. The coolant reservoir appears intact. Could the issue be something else, perhaps related to the head gasket?

When mine did that, I also couldn't see any leaks at first. It turned out the leak was very small, but enough to trigger the warning. It's like trying to find a slow puncture in a tire - sometimes you just have to submerge it to see the bubbles. Best to get it pressure tested at a workshop.

Thank you for the insight. I took it to a workshop, and they found a small leak in the radiator. Repair cost was 52€. Problem solved.
