V50 Damping Adjustment Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Volvo V50 diesel with low mileage is experiencing a 'damping adjustment fault' error, leading to a bumpy ride and a warning light on the speedometer. The issue is likely due to a faulty connection in the suspension system, specifically a corroded plug. The recommended solution is to have a professional check and repair the connections, which successfully resolved the problem in this case.

When you say 'similar,' do you mean the exact same error and symptoms? And which connections specifically are you referring to? I'm not a mechanic, so ELI5, please!

Yep, same error code and bumpy ride. Definitely sounds like a dodgy connection. I would advise going to the workshop. They will be able to check the connections properly. That fixed it for me, anyway. Just a corroded plug in the end.

I took it to the shop, and you were spot on! Turns out it was a corroded plug, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Worth every penny to get rid of that awful ride!

I had something similar on my V50. Check the cable and plug connection to the suspension system components. It's a common weak spot. Did you check all of them or just the easily accessible ones?
