Fuses are all good. Where exactly is the steering column motor located? I want to check the plug connection before taking it to a shop.

The steering column motor is typically located directly on the steering column, usually behind the plastic trim. Given that the fuses are fine and you suspect a connection issue, I would recommend having it professionally diagnosed. A workshop will have the correct diagnostic tools to pinpoint the fault.

Thanks for the info. Turned out to be a loose plug. Workshop reconnected it and cleared the error memory; cost me 95€. Problem solved.

That sounds like a potential wiring issue. Have you checked the fuses related to the steering column adjustment? Sometimes a simple blown fuse can cause such problems. Also, inspect the wiring harness for any visible damage or loose connections near the steering column motor.
