V50 electrical issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Volvo V50 diesel is experiencing poor starting and an error indicating 'Terminal 30 continuous plus interrupted.' The issue is suspected to be related to a heavily discharged or defective battery. Suggestions include checking the charging system, fuse box, and for voltage drop issues, particularly in the main power supply cables. Ultimately, replacing the defective battery resolved the problem.

Thanks for the quick response! Where exactly should I check for a voltage drop? Is there a specific point in the electrical system that's more susceptible? And how to test it?

You'll want to check the main power supply cables, especially the ones going to the starter motor. If you're not comfortable doing that, or you're still stuck, a workshop might be the best bet. Do you know the average repair costs?

Took it to a shop as you suggested. Turns out the battery was heavily discharged and defective. A new battery sorted it out. Total cost was 290€ Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar problem with my V50. First thing to check is the charging system to ensure that your alternator is working properly. Are there any blown fuses when you check the fuse box? Have you checked for any voltage drop issues?
