V50 mirror heating failure
Summary of the thread
The mirror heating on a 2005 Volvo V50 diesel is not functioning, with diagnostics indicating an error in the mirror heating circuit. The issue is suspected to be due to a broken wire or faulty connector, especially given the cold weather. A similar case involved both mirrors failing due to a faulty connector, which required taking apart the door card and replacing the connector. The suggested solution is to have a mechanic inspect and replace the connector for a quick fix.

Interesting! Both mirrors aren’t heating. Did yours affect both, or just one side? Where did you find the issue?

Yes, both of mine went out at the same time. I took it to a workshop. They identified a faulty connector, just as you suspected. They had to take apart the door card and properly crimp a new connector. The repair was around 95€. I recommend you do the same.

Thanks for the info! I suspected as much. I'll book it in with my local mechanic to get the connector checked and replaced. Hopefully, it'll be a quick and easy fix. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my V50. Was it both mirrors or just one?
