V50 Stalling and Power Loss

Hi, I'm having some trouble with my 2012 Volvo V50, gasoline engine. The check engine light came on a while ago, and recently it's started stalling at idle. I've also noticed a definite reduction in engine power. I scanned the codes and it points to a fuel volume regulator issue. Anyone experienced anything similar? I'm suspecting the high pressure pump is defective but not sure where to start.

Hey, I had similar symptoms on my V50. Check engine light, stalling, the works. Did it happen after a fill-up or any specific event? Do you have any misfire codes?

It didn't happen after a fill-up or anything like that. Just started gradually. I don't have the specific misfire codes on hand, but the scanner definitely flagged something related to the fuel regulator. Was it definitely the high pressure pump for you?

Yep, sounds very familiar. For me it was the high pressure fuel pump. Honestly, diagnosing it yourself can be tricky. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They confirmed the pump was failing. Best to get it checked out properly before throwing parts at it.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was indeed the high pressure fuel pump. Repair cost came to 1510€. Appreciate the help!
