V50 Washer Fluid Warning Light
Summary of the thread
The 2006 Volvo V50 is displaying a persistent "Washer fluid low" warning light despite the reservoir being filled, and the windshield washer system is not functioning. Possible causes include a faulty sensor or an error in the system. Suggested solutions involve checking the error memory for codes and potentially replacing the sensor, as a similar issue was resolved in another vehicle by sensor replacement.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yes, I checked the error memory with my OBD reader, and it shows an error related to the windshield washer system. How did you resolve this in your Renault? Did you replace the sensor, or was it something else?

I wasn't able to solve it myself. Error kept returning. I just ended up taking it to a workshop. They replaced the sensor. Cost me a small fortune.

Okay, thanks. I guess a trip to the workshop is in order then. It's frustrating that something so simple can cause so much hassle. I am just going to order the sensor myself and then have a mechanic install it, as I don't want to deal with the hassle. Cost me only 25€, so I will see if it will fix it. Hopefully this resolves the issue. Thanks!

I had something similar happen with my old Renault Megane. Washer fluid warning kept popping up, even after topping it off. Did you check the error memory? Maybe there's a stored code?
