V60 Engine Jerking and Exhaust Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Volvo V60 owner experienced engine jerking, uneven running, and a check engine light, suspecting issues with the air filter or crankshaft sensor. Another person suggested checking for an exhaust leak, which can cause similar symptoms by affecting the fuel mixture. The owner confirmed the problem was indeed an exhaust leak, which was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the suggestion. How did you confirm the exhaust leak? And did it also produce similar jerking when accelerating?

The jerking was definitely similar. The exhaust leak was indeed the problem. It's best to take it to a workshop, so they can check the exhaust system.

Thanks for the advice! I visited the workshop, and it turned out to be a leak in the exhaust system, as you suspected. The repair cost 265€. I appreciate your help.

I had similar symptoms in my V60, though not with the crankshaft sensor. Have you checked for exhaust leaks? A leak can cause rough idle and jerking, throwing off the fuel mixture and triggering the check engine light. Could also be ignition coil or fuel injectors.
