V60 NOx Sensor and Exhaust Leak

Thanks for your response. The engine performance seems normal, with no degradation in power or fuel efficiency. However, I am concerned about potential catalytic converter damage if the NOx sensor is malfunctioning. Could you elaborate on the symptoms you experienced with your cracked catalytic converter, and whether it also triggered a NOx sensor error?

Okay, so if it's running okay, that's good news I guess. My catalytic converter issue also threw an emissions code, but I don't remember specifically if it was NOx. The exhaust smell was pretty strong though, and the car felt sluggish, like it was breathing through a straw. If yours is running fine, maybe it's just a bad sensor or a wiring issue like you first thought. Honestly, with exhaust involved, I'd get it checked by a shop. Those exhaust fumes are nasty stuff!

Thanks for sharing your experience and recommendation. Given the potential health risks associated with exhaust leaks and the complexity of diagnosing sensor-related issues, I will consult a qualified technician. The defective plug connection was obvious in the error memory. The costs amounted to 95€.

Ugh, that check engine light is the worst! Exhaust leak plus the NOx sensor thing sounds like a real pain. Is the car running rough, or just the light and the smell? I had something similar happen on my old car, and it turned out to be a cracked catalytic converter. Is your gas mileage worse than normal?
