Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly would I find the cable and plug connections you mentioned? I'm not super familiar with the layout under the hood.

Hey, those symptoms definitely point to a power steering issue. Have you checked the pressure hose or steering rack for any leaks? Also, it might be worth checking the cable and plug connections to the power steering component itself. A defective connection could cause those problems.
