V60 Power Windows Fail After Battery Change
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2012 Volvo V60, the power windows stopped functioning, and an error message appeared on the display. This issue could be due to the window regulators needing re-initialization. A suggested solution was to hold the window switch up for a few seconds after closing, but this did not resolve the problem. Ultimately, a professional reset at a workshop was required to fix the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Holding the switch up? Never heard of that! Where are the fuses for the windows, and is there a trick to that re-initialization thing, or just hold it?

Yeah, just hold the switch up for maybe 5-10 seconds after the window is fully closed. The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual. But honestly, if it's not working, and you've got an error code, it might need a proper reset at a workshop. Could save you a headache.

Thanks! Holding the switch didn't do anything. Bit the bullet and took it to a shop. Turns out the regulator needed a reset. Cost me 290€, but at least the windows work now!

Sounds like the window regulators might need re-initialization. Did you try holding the window switch up for a few seconds after it's fully closed? Sometimes that does the trick. Have you checked the fuses too?
