V60 Rear Sun Blind Defect
Summary of the thread
The rear sun blind of a 2014 Volvo V60 is defective, failing to retract or extend fully, and an error is stored in the error memory. The issue is accompanied by a slight whirring sound, indicating that the motor might be the cause. It is suggested to have the sun blind checked by a workshop, as a similar issue was resolved by replacing the motor.

It makes a slight whirring sound, but nothing happens. Do you know what the cause was in your case?

The whirring sound suggests the motor is the likely culprit. I would recommend having the sun blind checked by a workshop. The estimated repair cost was around 330€. In my case, it was indeed the motor.

Thank you for the insight. I suspected as much. I will take it to a workshop for assessment and repair.

I have a V60 as well and faced a similar issue with my sun blind. Does it make any noise when you try to operate it, or is it completely unresponsive?
