V60 Windshield Washer Heater Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Volvo V60 owner reported a fault with the windshield washer heater, leading to frozen spray nozzles in cold temperatures. The issue was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug. Another V60 owner suggested checking the washer motor, but ultimately recommended consulting a workshop. The workshop confirmed the problem as a faulty windshield washer heater and defective cable, which were repaired.

Thank you. I did not yet check the washer motor. Could you elaborate on what to look for when inspecting the washer motor, or share any specific tests you performed?

Well, I'm no mechanic, but if the cable and plug are fine, the motor might be the culprit, a bit like a weak heart struggling to pump. Honestly, I ended up just taking mine to the workshop. They diagnosed it quickly. It was the heater itself, and they replaced the cable while they were at it.

Understood. I appreciate the suggestion to consult a workshop. I took it in, and the diagnosis was spot-on: faulty windshield washer heater and a defective cable. Repair cost 95€.

Interesting. I have a V60 as well. Your issue sounds like a problem I had last winter: freezing nozzles and a persistent error, like the car is wearing a permanent frown! Did you check the washer motor itself? Sometimes they struggle in really cold weather.
