Yes, the stability control does seem overly sensitive at times. Was your issue also diagnosed as a faulty lateral acceleration sensor, or was it something else? And what was the final repair?

Spot on, lateral acceleration sensor! Honestly, I wouldn't waste too much time trying to fix it yourself unless you're really confident with electronics. I'd suggest taking it to a reputable workshop. These things can be tricky, and you don't want to mess up the whole ABS system. I think I paid around 1000€ back then.

Hey! That sounds familiar. I had almost the exact same problem with my V70, though it was a few years back. The ABS light and everything... Did it also feel a bit weird when cornering sometimes, like the stability control was overreacting? Cost me a fortune!
