V70 AC failure
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Volvo V70 diesel's AC has stopped working entirely, with no compressor engagement. Possible causes include faulty AC valves, as suggested by a similar case where valve replacement resolved the issue. Checking the AC relay and pressure switch is recommended before considering more extensive repairs.

Could you give more detail? Any warning signs before it failed, and what was the diagnosis?

No warning signs, just a sudden failure. It turned out to be a valve issue in the AC unit. I took it to a workshop, and they replaced the faulty valve(s). Sounds like you'll need to do the same.

Thanks, a workshop visit seems likely. I'll brace myself for the estimated 1000€ repair.

I had a similar issue with my V70. AC just quit. Did you check the AC relay and pressure switch? Simple checks before diving deeper.
