Summary of the thread
A 2001 Volvo V70 is experiencing an air suspension fault, with the car sitting low and an error message displayed. The issue might be due to a defective cable or plug connection, as the compressor is unresponsive. A similar problem was resolved by addressing a faulty connection to the compressor, suggesting that checking and possibly repairing the connections could be a viable solution.

Yes, it’s completely unable to lift at all, no matter what I try. The compressor does nothing. It’s as dead as a doornail. Any chance you remember what the problem was in your case? I'm suspecting the cables right now.

Yeah, mine was completely unresponsive too. It ended up being a faulty connection to the compressor, just like you suspect. I just took it to a workshop after checking the fuses. Cost me 95€. Saved me a ton of hassle trying to diagnose it myself.

That's really helpful. I'll double-check the connections myself first, but if that doesn't pan out, I'll probably bite the bullet and take it in. 95€ isn't too bad for peace of mind. I think I'll be able to fix the connections myself.

I had something similar happen with my V70. The whole car felt like it was riding on the bump stops. Is it completely unable to lift at all? Is the compressor even trying to kick in? It could be the air struts themselves or even the suspension pump, but start with the basics.
