V70 Airbag Warning Light

Airbag warning lamp illuminated in my 2002 Volvo V70 diesel. Fuses are fine. Could this be a defective connection or something worse? Mileage is 207423 km.

I had a similar experience in my V70, though not the diesel. Is the warning light consistent, or does it come and go? Any recent work done that might have involved disconnecting wiring related to the restraint system?
