V70 diesel injection nozzle issue
Summary of the thread
The 2008 Volvo V70 diesel is experiencing starting difficulties, increased fuel consumption, reduced power, rough idling, and occasional stalling, which are suspected to be caused by a bad fuel injector. These symptoms align with issues related to a dirty or malfunctioning injector, as confirmed by another individual who had similar problems with a different diesel vehicle. The suggested solution is to have the injectors checked and repaired, which was confirmed as the cause and resolved by a professional shop.

Thanks. Yes, the exhaust is a bit darker. I don't hear any unusual noises, though. Could this be related to your injector issue?

Dark exhaust and rough idling were my clues. It turned out to be a bad injector. You should probably get the V70 to a shop. The symptoms sound like it could be injectors.

Thanks for the advice. The shop confirmed it was a bad injector. The repair was 515€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I had similar problems with my 2012 Citroen C5 diesel. Are you seeing any unusual smoke, like darker exhaust than usual? Any strange noises from the engine?
