Thank you for your input. I have not yet disassembled the fuel injection to check the injectors. Is there a straightforward method to test the injectors without removing them from the engine?

Testing injectors without removal can be tricky. Given the symptoms and your expertise, it's likely an injector issue. Honestly, at this point, I would recommend a workshop. They have the tools for proper diagnosis.

Appreciate the advice. It turned out to be a defective injector as suspected. The total repair cost, including parts and labor, was 515€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Sounds like a fuel issue. Have you checked the fuel injection system? Could be a blockage or a faulty injector. Is the fuel filter clean?
